It is exciting to be associated with this Project. I am confident Al Shomoukh International School will deliver a quality program. In 2015 the school will offer classes in KG to Grade 9. Each year after that a grade will be added so that by 2018 the school will be fully operational from K to Grade 12.

Considerable research has been undertaken over three years to develop policies that will ensure that we set new standards for quality education: an education that values and promotes the capacity of each and every student in our care.

The school applies the National English Curriculum. In senior years, i.e. Grade 10 and above, to enable all students to be successful we will provide support and courses to prepare students for the UK IGCSE and A Levels and US SATs. Additionally we will ensure compliance with the Omani National Curriculum to ensure Omani and non-Omani students can obtain an Omani Graduation Certificate. We will endeavour to ensure all students are catered for. A positive pastoral care program will be introduced to complement the academic and extra-curricular program.

A program and school is only as good as its teachers. We recruit teachers who are as enthusiastic as we are about the opening of a new school. Interviews are conducted in Australia, United Kingdom and the Middle East to ensure that a wide a range of excellent teachers are recruited.

An excellent school must develop positive relations with its parents and community. This will be a focus of ours. We welcome parents as partners in the education process.

As an international school we will develop links with other schools and benchmark our programs against world best practice. To this end we are already a provisional member of the prestigious European Council of International Schools (ECIS) and have a Memorandum of Understanding and Quality Control Agreement with the private and well established Essington School in Australia.

Our large Al Hail campus is open and we welcome inquiries and enrolment of students.

In conclusion please contact us to discuss any aspects of the school as we do wish to see it develop as one of the ‘best’ International Schools for both Muscat and the Middle East. Join with us in this exciting project.
